Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you depart from Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic drive of approximately two hours through the Great Rift Valley region. Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch before heading into the park for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most beautifully situated parks, lying at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is dominated by a shallow alkaline lake that attracts large flocks of flamingos and other water birds. The surrounding environment is incredibly diverse, featuring groundwater forests, open grasslands, and acacia woodlands.

This diversity supports a wide range of wildlife, including large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. The combination of scenery and wildlife makes this an excellent introduction to your safari experience.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This drive, approximately five to six hours, offers stunning views of rolling hills, farmland, and traditional Maasai villages.

As you descend into the Serengeti, the landscape transforms into vast, open plains stretching endlessly into the horizon. You will arrive in the central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera region, which is one of the richest wildlife habitats due to the presence of the Seronera River.

After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive, where you will often see animals right away. This area is known for its high concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of grazing animals.

Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Safari Experience

This day is dedicated entirely to exploring the remarkable ecosystem of Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you will embark on extended game drives across different مناطق of the park, including the Sogore River Circuit and the famous kopjes.

The Serengeti offers one of the most intense wildlife experiences in Africa, with opportunities to witness predator-prey interactions, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, and a wide range of other species. The kopjes, scattered granite outcrops, serve as resting and observation points for lions and other predators, making them excellent locations for wildlife viewing.

You will also have the option to experience a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (optional, at extra cost), offering a breathtaking aerial perspective of the plains and wildlife below. Later, you may visit the Serengeti Visitor Center, where you can learn more about the park’s ecology and enjoy a picnic lunch under acacia trees.

The afternoon continues with further exploration of the plains, following wildlife movements and enjoying the beauty of the African sunset.

Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, you descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is a natural enclosure that supports a dense population of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Africa to see a wide variety of animals in a single day.

You will encounter herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, and elephants, along with predators such as lions, hyenas, and jackals. The crater is also one of the few places where you may spot the endangered black rhino. A visit to Lake Magadi, located within the crater, offers sightings of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.
