DAY 2: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This “river of warthogs” serves as the only water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season.

In some areas, the vegetation is quite dense, featuring elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Elephant families, renowned for their presence in the park, often gather by the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Various predators, including lions and leopards, closely follow these animals.

Tarangire National Park is home to the largest population of elephants in Tanzania and boasts more breeding species of birds than any other place on Earth. It is the best location to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat, from the adorable calves to the impressive bulls.

After enjoying a packed lunch, we will head to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Tarangire Elephant Springs or a similar location.
