Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Mangalo Expeditions, including safari bookings, tours, trekking, transfers, and related travel services. By booking a tour or safari with Mangalo Expeditions, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

  • A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the safari start date.

  • Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.

  • Payments may be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved payment methods agreed upon with Mangalo Expeditions.

  • All bank transfer charges and transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by the Client

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus bank and transaction charges.

  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost refunded.

  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund will be issued.

Cancellation by Mangalo Expeditions

Mangalo Expeditions reserves the right to cancel or modify any tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, political instability, severe weather conditions, or safety concerns. In such cases, clients will be offered either:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to reschedule the safari to a future date.

3. Travel Insurance

  • All clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance before traveling.

  • Insurance should cover medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, personal injury, loss of luggage, and personal liability.

  • Mangalo Expeditions shall not be held responsible for any expenses or losses incurred due to lack of adequate insurance coverage.

4. Health and Safety

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit for travel and safari activities.

  • Any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, or dietary requirements must be communicated to Mangalo Expeditions before the tour begins.

  • While Mangalo Expeditions prioritizes client safety and follows standard safari safety protocols, wildlife safaris and adventure travel involve inherent risks.

  • Mangalo Expeditions shall not be liable for incidents, injuries, or damages caused by personal negligence, failure to follow guide instructions, or wildlife encounters.

5. Passports and Visas

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and any other required travel documents.

  • Mangalo Expeditions is not responsible for denied entry, delays, or losses resulting from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.

6. Itinerary Changes

  • Mangalo Expeditions will make every reasonable effort to operate tours as advertised.

  • However, itineraries may be adjusted due to weather conditions, road conditions, park regulations, accommodation availability, or other factors beyond our control.

  • We reserve the right to substitute accommodations, transportation, or routes when necessary to ensure client safety and service quality.

7. Liability Disclaimer

  • Mangalo Expeditions acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, transport providers, national parks, and other service providers.

  • We shall not be held liable for loss, damage, injury, accident, delay, or death arising during travel except where directly caused by proven negligence on our part.

  • We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by airlines, weather, mechanical breakdowns, strikes, pandemics, or any other force majeure events.

8. Use of Images and Testimonials

  • During tours, photos and videos may be taken for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on our website and social media platforms.

  • Clients who do not wish to appear in promotional materials must notify Mangalo Expeditions in writing before the safari commences.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a safari or tour with Mangalo Expeditions, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
