8 Days Lemosho Route-Kilimanjaro Climbing Itinerary

$2,170 pp (USD)

Overview

The 8-day Lemosho Route is one of the most beautiful, remote, and successful routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Known for its breathtaking landscapes and high summit success rates, the Lemosho Route is perfect for trekkers who want a scenic and gradual ascent. Beginning on the lush western side of Kilimanjaro, the route passes through thick rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and finally to the arctic summit zone — offering an incredible diversity of ecosystems and views.

Unlike more crowded routes such as Marangu or Machame, Lemosho offers a quieter and more secluded experience. It’s ideal for trekkers who prefer a less touristy path, yet still want strong acclimatization opportunities. The longer 8-day itinerary increases your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak by allowing your body more time to adjust to the altitude.

Over the course of this 8-day Kilimanjaro trek, you will sleep in scenic campsites under starry skies, share stories around meals prepared by your mountain crew, and be guided by experienced, certified Kilimanjaro guides. From Shira Plateau to the Barranco Wall and up to Stella Point, every section of this trek offers unforgettable moments.

This route not only maximizes your summit success chances but also provides a memorable journey filled with natural beauty, adventure, and cultural connection. Whether you’re a first-time trekker or a seasoned adventurer, the 8-day Lemosho Route is one of the best and safest ways to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro.

Book your Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route 8-day trek today and take the first step toward the summit of Africa’s highest peak.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut
